"Ranked among the best
Steakhouse/American Business Lunch/Late-Night Dining"
-Reader Choice, San Diego Magazine-
"A staple in the Del Mar scene since 1967, Bully's is a family-friendly
restaurant with a reputation for quality in food, service and
atmosphere. Check out Bully's for sumptuous steak and seafood
platters at any time of day, and enjoy discounted drinks and
appetizers during their daily happy hour."
-Pacific San Diego Magazine, December 2007-
"It's a bit like stepping into 1967 when you enter Bully's.
For the past 40 years, the restaurant has been a part of the
Bird Rock community, with its famous prime rib and old-school
ambiance. There are some patrons who even visit once or more daily.
To entice new visitors to the restaurant, there is now a double happy
hour on weekdays, and several flavors of chicken wings were recently
added to the menu. Ask for restaurant manager David Parrent's version
of the French dip, which is made with tri-cut beef on garlic sourdough
bread with mozzarella and sautéed onions, cooked Cajun-style.
It's not on the menu, but it's absolutely delicious."
-944 San Diego Magazine, November 2007-
"Known for exceptional value and quality, this friendly dining
institution is a continuous hit with locals and tourists. From breakfast
to late-night dining, the menu selections cover a tasty spectrum of
specialties including the wonderful prime rib, seafood delicacies,
salads, omelets and more. Outdoor patio and full bar are available"
-The San Diego Union Tribune, July 4, 2002-
"One of San Diego County's favorite restaurants and bars is
Bully's Del Mar - a legend in its own time. The late George Bullington
and partner Lester Holt opened their restaurant based on a philosophy
of consistency in serving generous portions of quality food.
The restaurant became an instant success with both the locals and
the summer racing crowd and remains that way today."
-The San Diego Union Tribune-
"Old-time favorite local chain of steakhouses.
Great quality and great prices."
